Cornwall Ontario – The Eastern Ontario Training Board has launched a website containing a number of online job search and recruitment tools.

YourNextJob-EOTB

The online resource is branded www.yournextjob.ca and is can be used by jobseekers, students, youth, newcomers, career changers, as well as employers, educators, and the community to make informed career decisions.

Employers can use the site to target their recruitment efforts. The Job Board allows jobseekers to search multiple local and national job boards simultaneously. The Job Map provides a visual to show where a job is located in relation to Child Care centres, Schools, Employment Ontario, and other services. Students and educators will find the Career Explorer Tools useful, allowing students to visually explore career paths and apply for in-demand jobs in the community. These tools are an especially important resource for those looking for employment, impacted by lay-offs or a reduction in working hours, or looking for more information on in-demand careers as the COVID-19 pandemic evolves.

“EOTB is excited to bring this new job search and recruitment tool to our region,” says Martha Woods, Executive Director, Eastern Ontario Training Board. “By gathering job postings from online resources across the region and from large national boards, it’s a one-stop resource for local jobseekers, employers and educators.”

The website also provides the Job Demand Report, a report created by using data collected from national, provincial, and local job boards as well as local career pages. It highlights important information about job demand in SDG and PR, including job postings by month, municipality, skill type, skill level, and more. Also available is the  Job Search Report which is created using data collected from the job finding tools on the Eastern Ontario Training Board website and tries to answer two simple questions: who is searching for work, and what jobs are they searching for in Cornwall, SDG and Prescott-Russell. Together, these new tools help promote the variety of careers available in Cornwall, SDG and PR to students, jobseekers, and career changers who want to find job opportunities in their field or further research careers that they may not have previously considered.
