St. Lawrence College Hosts Supply Chain Webinar
February 24, 2021Cornwall Ontario – St. Lawrence College is hosting a webinar on the fast growing logistics sector as part of their NEXT Webinar Series.
The webinar will focus on the future of global supply chains and will take place on Thursday, February 25, 2021, at 11:00 a.m..
The webinar is hosted by SLC’s Supply Chain Management Graduate Certificate program and will feature a number of industry experts including two from Cornwall: Ronald East, Director of Operations with DHL Supply Chain (Matrix Logistics Services), and Paula Fontaine, Director of Human Resources with SigmaPoint Technologies.
“The pandemic has highlighted our dependence on a global supply of goods,” says Carla Kingston-Floyd, Program Coordinator with SLC Supply Chain Management Graduate Certificate Program. “This panel of experts will discuss the challenges we face and provide insights to ensure our future successes in supply chain management.”
The supply chain is one of the most essential sectors of the Canadian economy, involving about 767,000 workers from a range of occupations and industries. The success of this sector in meeting its human resources and labour-market challenges has the potential to positively influence the future of Canada, and the quality of life that we all enjoy. The webinar is free for all participants and will seek to answer the following questions:
- What strategic shifts should leaders and stakeholders make as they plan for a post-COVID-19 world?
- How should leaders in different industries better position their organization and employees for a world that will be very different from the pre-COVID era?

About the Supply Chain Management Graduate Certificate program
The Supply Chain Management Graduate Certificate program is a one-year program offered at St. Lawrence College’s Cornwall Campus. The program explores all facets of supply chain management and logistics from a theoretical and practical perspective. Program participants are provided with a comprehensive understanding of the principles and techniques considered essential for employment in this sector and benefit from an integrated field placement opportunity upon completion of the course work.
