Love Love Food Expands to New Location

Cornwall Ontario – One of Cornwall’s favourite places to grab a bite to eat has moved around the corner and down the street.

Love Love Food Cafe, Bistro and Bakery has moved to 109 Pitt Street and the move has allowed owner Tony Lacroix to expand both his offerings and seating layout.

“We have grown step by step since I first opened the business 7 years ago,” says Mr. Lacroix. “ The new location feels like a graduation and is allowing us to spread our wings.”

Love Love Food is a sit-down restaurant with a busy take-out service. The bistro specializes in comfort food favourites that include desserts and healthier options. Breakfast wraps, bagels and scones are offered all week till 11am.  Mr. Lacroix also makes cakes for all occasions.

The new restaurant is well appointed with comfortable seating that includes a lounge area for people meeting for coffee.  A large bank of new refrigerated counters display grab and go items such as sandwiches and salads, and of course the desserts. A lot of desserts.

“One immediate impact of the move has been a significant increase in volume,” says Mr. Lacroix. “We are not only seeing more people but our cupcakes and desserts are flying off the shelves.”

With an expanded kitchen and dedicated baking area, Mr. Lacroix now has the room to be more efficient – and to try out new recipes. He has also expanded his staff which now number at 7.

“We are inspired by food, our offerings are created from old family recipes, in-season ingredients and even recipes our customers bring us,” says Mr. Lacroix. “Many of our customers work and live around us – they helped us build the business. I would not see myself opening anywhere else than downtown.”

Love Love Food will hold a grand opening on Saturday June 9th from 9am to Noon with an official ribbon cutting ceremony. There will be prize draws as well as face painting for children. Patrons can sample one of Tony’s famous cupcakes free – with a donation to Rachel’s Kids.
