Melanie Brulée Graces the Cover of Cornwall Living Magazine

Cornwall Ontario – The 2017 edition of Cornwall Living is out – offering more stories and photos of life in Cornwall than ever before.

“Cornwall and region is a great place to live and we have tried to capture that in our magazine” says Rick Shaver, General Manager of TC Media, the publishers of the magazine. “The magazine is three times the size of what it was 10 years ago. That speaks to the ever-growing number of success stories from people who live here.”

At 140 pages, the 2017 edition of Cornwall Living offers a lot to explore.

Melanie Brulée graces the cover of this year’s magazine. The singer-songwriter is coming off a whirlwind year that has seen critical praise for her music, leading to a gig singing the French version of the remake of A Place to Stand, Ontario’s anthem.

“I love what Choose Cornwall and Cornwall Living Magazine has done to uplift the community,” says Ms. Brulée. “I’m proud to say I was born and raised in Cornwall and to be featured on the cover is a mega-honour!”

Ryan Gosling

The Oscar-nominated actor has talked about growing up in Cornwall in dozens of interviews. His family tree has a connection to Cornwall that goes back 150 years – and across an ocean.

The HGTV star takes a turn at the typewriter and offers up an entertaining article about home renovation and design.

St. Lawrence College Turns 50

20,000 students have graduated from the Cornwall Campus of St. Lawrence College. The magazine explores some the accomplishments over the past half-century.

Cornwall Living dozens of stories about people that are succeeding right here in Cornwall and the Counties. The stories touch on art, dining, sport, philanthropy, business and more.

“It always comes down to people,” says Mr. Shaver. “Our neighbours, our friends and family. Cornwall, SDG and Akwesane is blessed to have so many people doing extraordinary things.”

One of the popular segments of the magazine to emerge over the past few years is the annual story on the local real estate market. Several developers and real estate companies support the magazine which is often read by people looking to relocate to the area.

Other stories in the magazine showcase the expansion of Rurban Brewery, ongoing revitalization of Cornwall’s Downtown, along with profiles of local athletes such as Jakob Loucks, Thomas LeGallais, and Chris Belair.

2017 marks the 24th year that TC Media – Seaway News has published a quality gloss magazine celebrating life in Cornwall. Past issues of the magazine have been judged to be best in Ontario by the Ontario Community Newspapers Association.

The magazine is designed and edited by Colleen Parette. With an overall circulation of over 40,000, the magazine is a collaboration of advertisers, writers, photographers and staff members.

In addition to trade shows and other efforts, the magazine finds its way to thousands of businesses and government officials in Canada, the United States and abroad.
