NAV CENTRE Wins Marketing Award
May 30, 2013Cornwall Ontario – The NAV CENTRE has received a prestigious award for the recently-launched Meeting Hero marketing campaign which includes an updated NAV CENTRE web site.
NAV CENTRE was awarded the Excel Award by the regional chapter of the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) – the leading industry association in the field of communications. The award was received in the category of “Communication Creative” for the photography used in the campaign.
“We’re very proud to receive this award that recognizes excellence in communications,” said Kim Coe-Turner, General Manager. “We wanted to create something that showcases our versatility and places our customer at the centre of what we offer, and our campaign achieves that.”
The meeting hero concept was developed by marketing communications agency Banfield-Seguin to resonate with the everyday professionals that make meetings happen, be they experienced meeting professionals or others for whom planning an event is not their main job.
“Employees were a key part of the initiative, helping coordinate schedules, prepping the locations we used and volunteering to model for the photo and video shoots,” said Kim. “This award is another example of how NAV CENTRE and Sodexo employees are committed to delivering a positive and memorable experience to our customers.”
NAV CENTRE accommodates a wide variety of events and meetings – for public, private, association and sports sector clients alike ‒ at its resort-like complex overlooking the St. Lawrence River.
“The one thing that doesn’t change is the support we provide to ensure everything goes smoothly, so that clients can meet with success and leap tall expectations in a single bound,” says Coe-Turner.
From the Cornwall Hospital Foundation’s Denim and Diamonds fundraiser on June 14th, to the inaugural Canadian Golden Gloves Championship – which will attract hundreds of athletes, coaches and officials from across the country this July – there are several events that the public can attend at the NAV CENTRE this summer.
An example of the award winning creative can be seen in the newly published Cornwall Living magazine, which will be distributed around the world. The video and images from the shoot also feature prominently on the new NAV CENTRE web site, www.navcentre.ca.
