Olymel Recruiting for Additional 60 Positions

Cornwall, Ontario – Olymel is looking to fill 60 positions at its bacon and ham processing plant in Cornwall.

“We are looking to add 60 production workers as well as fill a number of specialized positions,” says Heather Jiujias, Human Resources Manager for Olymel. “We are happy to speak to anybody who is looking to work in a state of the art food processing facility.”

In addition to production workers, the following positions need to be filled:

  • HR Coordinator
  • H&S Coordinator
  • Millwright
  • Machinist
  • Electrician
  • 3rd class Operating Engineer
  • Environment Technician

Olymel offers wages and benefits that are competitive for the region, with a number of incentive programs that can increase earnings.

In recent years, Olymel added a continuous smokehouse and other technologies in a 70,000 sq.ft. expansion to its facility, which is located in the Cornwall Business Park. Employment has steadily grown since then, and the Cornwall plant currently employs more than 400 people.
