Private Career College Reinvests In Downtown CornwallJuly 24, 2014
Cornwall Ontario – A private career college that trains students for a future in the beauty industry has undergone a beautiful transformation of its own.
Art and Technique Academy of Hairstyling and Esthetics recently renovated its spacious quarters in the McLellan Building near the corner of Pitt and Third Streets in Downtown Cornwall.
Students of the Hairstyling college will get to enjoy hands-on training in a modern 3,000 square-foot facility. In addition to the extensive interior renovations, the McLellan Building also recently underwent a significant façade upgrade with new eye-catching storefront entrances and decorative awnings.
Established in 1979, Art and Technique Academy has been a fixture on Pitt Street for over 25 years. During that time, it has helped hundreds of students launch careers in spas and salons both locally and abroad. The Academy has campuses in Cornwall, Belleville, Oshawa and Brampton.
“We’re excited about the new look and we’re looking forward to many more years of success in Cornwall,” said Mrs. Debbie Lemire, Cornwall Campus Administrator.
To help celebrate the new look, the Cornwall campus will be holding at open house at its facility (264 Pitt Street) on Wednesday, July 30th from 2 pm to 6 pm.
“We’re inviting students to come visit and see all we have to offer,” said Mrs. Lemire. “We’re also extending an invite to salon owners and hairstylists in the area to stop in and show their support.” In addition, in conjunction with A&T Beauty Supply and major suppliers from across Canada they will be offering amazing giveaways and draws.
As an added incentive, students who enroll during the open house will be awarded free registration, as well one lucky applicant will be awarded a full tuition scholarship valued at $5600.00 (pursuant to 5 applications received).
The campus offers a 10-month diploma program with monthly start dates.
