Restaurant Week Offers Special Menus All Week Long

November 2, 2017
By Bob Peters

Cornwall Ontario – Cornwall’s best chefs have gone all out to create some unique meals for Restaurant Week, and the winners are those patrons lucky enough to score a reservation at one of the 10 participating restaurants.

“We expect to treat over 5,000 people to some amazing dishes during Restaurant Week!” says organizer Sebastien Manigat.  “With each iteration we are reaching new customers, engaging with foodies, and pushing the envelope in terms of creativity. Our chefs have developed a friendly competition amongst themselves and the beneficiaries have been the patrons. It’s quite amazing.”

From November 7th to 11th, select local restaurants will offer guests specially designed menus. The fixed-price menu provides a unique opportunity for patrons to try different local restaurants via an attractive price point.

Participating restaurant for the new $10.00 (+ taxes and gratuities) “box lunch” special include the following.

  • Bangkok Noodle Soup & Grill
  • Marrow & Spice
  • Mindful Cookery
  • The Downtown Farm

The following participating restaurants will be serving two or three course dinner meals from $24, $28 & $34 (+ taxes and gratuities).

  • Eight Zero Zero
  • Esca Gourmet Pizza & Bar
  • Moustache Joes
  • Table 21 Steakhouse and Oyster Bar
  • Thai Khmer Cuisine
  • Truffles Burger Bar

The concept of a fixed price menu, often called “prix fixe”, has become popular with both diners and restaurant owners. The concept offers a certain number of items – usually an appetizer, main course and dessert, for a fixed price. Drinks are not included, and gratuities are extra. Some restrictions may apply. For example, fixed price menus are available for dine-in customers only and after 4pm.  Reservations are recommended.

Restaurant Week is a signature event of the Seaway Food Festival.

Support for Agapè Centre

Proceeds from every meal sold during Cornwall Restaurant Week will go towards the Agapè Centre’s annual holiday drive. This will mark the first charity partnership for Cornwall Restaurant Week.

“Community is at the very core of what Seaway Food Festival is all about. We are truly honored to form this partnership with such a remarkable local organization and lend our support in this manner. It goes without saying that our local restaurants are the backbone of every initiative that we do. I’m very grateful that they embraced this event and in unison, all decided to step up and give back for this cause,” says Mr. Manigat.
