Cornwall Ontario – After 5 years in business, Total Cyclery & Sports has moved to a new home – a few doors up the block to 241 Pitt Street. The bike shop is owned by Marc Dubuc and Shawn Pilgrim, and the avid cyclists have built up a loyal following by offering knowledgeable sales and service.

“After establishing ourselves in the retail cycling community, it was time to step it up a notch and offer our customers with a beautiful shopping experience,” says Mr. Dubuc.

The new store offers great lighting, a much larger floor space and a beautiful indoor brick wall on the north side.  Indoor spin classes are held on the top floor Tuesdays and Thursdays from October to March.

“Downtown Cornwall has proven itself so we didn’t want to change the recipe,” says Mr. Dubuc. “We have plenty of parking, lots of foot traffic and the downtown is really getting a lot of buzz lately due to many others setting up shop along Pitt Street.”

Total Cyclery & Sports sells all types of bikes to meet the needs of cyclists of any age, size or interest level.

“From a $125 kids bike to a $450 adult hybrid bike, we have a bike for every budget,” says Mr. Dubuc.  “We carry road bikes that range from $1000 to $14,000 – there is something for everyone.”

Total Cyclery & Sports also sells sell skis (alpine and downhill) snowboards, snowshoes as well as everything that is associated with all of these items.

An experience at Total Cyclery & Sports is a personal one. Customers are provided with proper education so that they can choose the merchandise or service that they need.  Shawn Pilgrim is at the shop full time and is widely regarded as one of the best bike mechanics in the region. The two owners love helping people get on a bike or a snowboard, get outside and enjoy themselves.

A member of the Cornwall Multi-Sport Club, Mr. Dubuc is very active in the cycling community and has helped attract many events to the area including a popular mountain bike race and 3 cyclocross races. He has sponsored the Cornwall Triathlon in the past and recently created a number of cycling routes for tourists.

“I’ve been cycling for over 20 years and I love being able to share my enthusiasm of the sport with others.”
