Floral Expressions opens in new Downtown location
September 8, 2023Cornwall Ontario – A long-standing flower and gift shop has made the move to a new location in the heart of the city.
Floral Expressions has opened its doors at 17 Second Street West, just a few steps from Pitt Street in the same building as Fairy Sweet and Gordon Jewellers.
The move also comes with an expanded product selection to go along with the store’s namesake flower and plant offerings.
“Flowers and plants are still our number thing of course,” said Floral Expressions owner Amanda Gaucher. “We’ve upped our game when it comes to giftware and we wanted to create more of a boutique type feel in the shop.”
Visitors can expect to find more giftware and home decor items on display along with a new men’s section featuring BBQ spices, rubs and other products.
The business is now in its 37th year of operation, and Gaucher has been at the helm for 24 years. The new location represents the next evolution for the business and its connection to the community.
“We’ve definitely seen more walk-in traffic in the new location, a lot of people coming in and browsing,” she added. “It’s great to be closer to all of the retail shops and restaurants and special events in the Downtown.”
In addition to the floral and retail offerings, Gaucher also offers wedding planning services and those interested are encouraged to contact her directly through the shop.
Floral Expressions is open Monday to Friday from 10 am to 4 pm and Saturday from 10 am to 2 pm (closed Sundays).
