Foodpreneur Scale-Up Program Applications Open This August

Cornwall Ontario – Are you a food production or distribution business with big ambitions for growth? Get ready! Applications for the Fall 2025 cohort of the Foodpreneur Scale-Up Program open on August 12, 2025.

The Foodpreneur Scale-Up Program is an intensive 10-week program specifically designed to help high-potential food businesses reach new heights. Delivered in a hybrid model with both online and in-person sessions, the program offers a unique opportunity to gain the knowledge and tools needed to successfully scale your operations. You’ll get access to industry experts, customized workshops, and valuable peer-to-peer discussion circles that will equip you for success.

Subject matter covered includes:

  • Production Process & Shelf-Life Testing
  • Food Safety, Regulation & Traceability
  • Canadian Food Labelling Regulations
  • Connecting with Buyers Brokers & Distributors
  • How to Pitch your Product to National Chains
  • Product/Recipe Development and Food Innovation
  • How to Sell Your Products to Retailers
  • Navigating Packaging for your Food/Beverage Product
  • Managing Cash Flow for Profits, Today & Tomorrow
  • Marketing & Branding Strategies

Class sizes are limited, and this is a competitive process.

Eligibility

  • Business must be operating for a minimum of 1-year revenue generation and not longer than 5-years and have an established consumer packaged good that has been tested in the market.
  • Business must demonstrate strong growth potential and scalability.
  • Business Owner must commit to participate fully in the training and mentorship.

Funding Opportunity

Local successful applicants may also be eligible to receive up to $5,000, available through the Cornwall SDG Business Enterprise Centre, as part of  Starter Company Plus training and grant programs.

About the Cornwall Business Enterprise Centre

The Cornwall SDG Business Enterprise Centre is dedicated to supporting and promoting entrepreneurship in Cornwall, the United Counties of Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry and Akwesasne. Funded by the Province of Ontario as part of the 54 Small Business Enterprise Centres across the province, the Centre provides resources, mentorship, and guidance to new and existing entrepreneurs, helping them grow into successful businesses.
