Cornwall Ontario – One of Cornwall’s leading manufacturers is doing its part to help keep front line workers safe in the midst of the coronavirus crisis.

Morbern has donated 250 face masks to the City of Cornwall. The masks will find their way to staff at the Glen Stor Dun Lodge and Emergency Medical Services.

“We know that our health care workers are placing themselves at risk in looking after the most vulnerable in our community,” said Mark Bloomfield, CEO of Morbern. “We are happy to be in a position to offer this small gesture of support for their efforts.”

The governments of Canada and Ontario have turned to the manufacturing sector for help in addressing a projected shortage of medical supplies as communities face this unprecedented pandemic.

Morbern is one of Cornwall’s longest standing manufacturers and is a major employer in the region. Earlier this year Morbern was named one of Canada’s best managed companies. The company is entering into a two-week shutdown to help stop the spread of COVID-19.
