Social Services Relief Funding for Region

Cornwall Ontario – Organizations providing new or enhanced support or services to vulnerable people in Cornwall, Stormont, Dundas, and Glengarry can now apply for relief funding.

On March 23, 2020, the Provincial government announced a $200-million investment in social services relief funding to help protect the health and safety of the province’s most vulnerable people in response to the outbreak of COVID-19.

Funding is being provided under the Social Services Relief Fund to assist municipalities and social service providers such as shelters, food banks, emergency services, community and supportive housing providers, charities and non-profits continue to deliver their critical services.

Funds are limited and as such, amounts requested may be approved in whole, in part, or not at all. Applications will be reviewed on a priority basis.

Applications must be submitted by Friday, April 17.
