Cornwall Ontario – Looking to jumpstart your career? Look no further than Eastern Ontario.

STUFF Magazine - 2020

That is the message of the sophomore edition of STUFF, the interactive digital and print magazine from the publishers of the Ottawa Business Journal.

“This year the magazine is fifty percent larger than last year, with profiles and stories on hundreds of local manufacturers and builders from across the region.,” said Terry Tyo, Publisher of STUFF. “This year we’ve printed forty percent more copies and have added hundreds of more distribution outlets with the focus on high schools, colleges, universities, employment centres, manufacturers and builders, the business community and key stakeholders.”

“The goal is to reach a new generation of job seekers, as well as those who may be facing a transition mid-career, and let them know about career opportunities in key sectors and communities across Eastern Ontario.”

There is a lot of information to unpack in the 120 page STUFF, with in-depth articles on various sectors including manufacturing, food processing and logistics. This year’s edition includes a two page profile on Cornwall, along with profiles on local companies such as Leclerc, Olymel, Olsonfab and SigmaPoint. Other Cornwall companies also get a shout out, including Ground Soap, Laminacorr, Seaway Express, Ridgewood, Walmart Logistics and Fairy Sweet.

“Many of Cornwall’s largest employers continue to recruit as they expand operations despite the pandemic, and the latest edition of STUFF helps to get the word out about these career opportunities,” said Mayor Bernadette Clement.  “It is nice to see the magazine supported by both the private and public sector as we highlight the advantages of working in Eastern Ontario.”

In addition to the print edition, STUFF is also available in digital format on its own website: stuffmadeandbuilt.ca.  The website will feature the digital magazine, as well as a career/job section where visitors will be able to review all of the manufacturer and builder profiles from the magazine in detail.

The magazine will be promoted to multiple audiences including a 1.2 million impression digital campaign targeting job seekers across the region.

“Job seekers, including students, can use STUFF as a resource for making career decisions and locating job opportunities in the region,” says Mr. Tyo. “The project will be promoted through GRM media channels, social media and other key markets through our strategic partners.”

Copies of STUFF are available from Cornwall Economic Development via the online Information Request form. You can also view the magazine online here:
