Urban Planet Opens New store at Cornwall Square
March 8, 2024Cornwall Ontario – A popular fashion store has returned to Cornwall Square.
Urban Planet has officially opened its doors in the former second floor Sears space, offering the latest fashion, footwear, and accessory trends at great value.
The 45,000 square-foot store features a wide assortment of men’s and women’s fashion items – including the popular Forever 21 brand – as well as the Urban Kids line, accessories, footwear, bridal items, and much more.
“We’re very excited to be back in Cornwall. The staff were excited to get going and the early response from customers has been terrific,” said Urban Planet District Manager Nathalie Seguin.
Seguin said the store currently has 22 full- and part-time staff on board to assist customers.
“It’s thanks to the loyalty of our customers that we are back (in Cornwall),” she added.
The new store is fully stocked with spring and summer merchandise and it’s a perfect time to update the wardrobe, with a buy 2 get 1 free promotion running to coincide with the store opening.
The store is open Monday to Friday from 9:30 am to 7 pm, Saturday from 9:30 am to 5:30 pm and Sunday from 11 am to 5 pm.
The arrival of Urban Planet represents another positive development for the Cornwall Square, which is located in the heart of Downtown Cornwall. The shopping mall recently completed a $2 million renovation of its Food Hall, providing a bright new public space and makeovers for restaurants including Cedars, Sip n’ Scoop, Wok Express, Tim Hortons, Juntos Mexican Grill and Daily Chuck.
“As part of the new store look, Cornwall Square ownership replaced all of the existing fluorescent lighting in the Urban Planet premises with LED lighting resulting in a dramatic change to the physical appearance of the store that allows Urban Planet to better showcase all of their merchandise,” says Leo Doucet, Property Manager for Cornwall Square. “We applaud Urban Planet’s decision to renew their presence in the Cornwall and area market. This latest positive change is yet another step in the WBG journey to revitalize Cornwall Square and demonstrates its commitment to making things happen.”
