Winter Seminar Series Offered by Business Enterprise Centre

Cornwall Ontario –  Informed decisions are usually the best ones, and luckily entrepreneurs do not have to go far to upgrade their knowledge.

CBEC Winter Seminar Series

The Cornwall Business Enterprise Centre will be organizing 8 seminars over the next several weeks, covering topics such as banking, human resources, forecasting and marketing. The seminars are being offered in partnership with RBC and follow the Spring and Fall seminar series held earlier this year.

“We are pleased to be able to provide seminars on different topics of interest to small businesses,” said Candy Pollard, Business Consultant with the Centre. “This events are a great way to enhance your business skills and to meet other entrepreneurs and share ideas.”

Winter Seminar Series

Presentations will be lead by a variety of individuals including Mireille Lemire & Zach Grant from RBC, Bernard Charlebois of Boum Strategies, Heather Robertson of Heather Robertson and Associates, Andrew Seguin of Seguin Financial, Donna Beaudette of Workplace Safety & Prevention Services (WSPS), Neil Benjamin, as well as Candy Pollard and Ryan Kuhn from the Cornwall Business Enterprise Centre. Seminar topics will include :

  • November 20 – Business Planning
  • November 22 – Business Banking
  • November 25 – Farmers Markets & Tradeshows
  • November 27 – Online Presence – E-Commerce, SEO & Google Analytics
  • November 29 – Financial Forecasting
  • December 5 – Business Travel & Home Based Business Expenses
  • December 9 – Human Resources, Payroll, Health & Safety
  • December 12 – Bookkeeping

There is no cost to attend the seminars, however, attendees are asked to register in advance.

“We know that small business owners are busy people so we have tailored the seminars to meet their needs,” says Ryan Kuhn. “The seminars are relatively short in terms of time, but are full of useful information on topics that we know are of interest to entrepreneurs.”
