Akwesasne Pow Wow Returns September 6-7
August 28, 2025Cornwall Ontario – One of the most popular cultural celebrations in the region is set to return on the weekend of September 6th & 7th.

The Akwesasne Pow Wow returns to Lamoureux Park with two great days of fun, peace, and friendship with neighbours of all cultures. Visitors can immerse themselves in a vibrant cultural experience with the best music, drummers, and dancers from the region. There’s also great food to enjoy along with amazing First Nations artisans selling one-of-a-kind creations.
Enjoy and take part in the ‘fastest dance on two feet’ with our Iroquois Smoke Dancers. This dance got its name back when the people would dance around the fire pit, causing air to circulate and thus helping the fire embers ignite.
