Cheese on Top Celebrates Cornwall Pizza
June 19, 2026Cornwall Ontario – Cornwall’s world-famous pizza is heading to the small screen with a new four-part TV show called Cheese on Top.
The show is the brainchild of self-proclaimed ‘Pizza Freak” Stacey Case, a well-known local entrepreneur and member of Cornwall’s arts community.
“The show celebrates Cornwall pizza – a regional pizza style, very thick with the cheese on top,” says Mr. Case. “The show is a punk rock oddball comedy that is gaining some positive press – we’ve been on CBC Radio and Exlaim! magazine telling the world about Cornwall Pizza!”
Each episode of the Cheese on Top includes scripted sketches, documentary interviews featuring local pizza joints North End, King George, Cornwall BBQ and Philos, along with original music by award-winning Montreal wildman Bloodshot Bill. The combination is meant to celebrate the underdog status of Cornwall’s unpretentious and unapologetic calorie-heavy specialty, that buries the “toppings” and covers them in delicious cheese.
“It’s Anthony Bourdain meets Jackass, or like if Julia Child and Joe Strummer joined The Kids In The Hall,” says series co-creator and director Christopher Redmond.
The series was shot over 6 days with an audio and video crew of Cornwall citizens that care about Cornwall Pizza.
“Let’s celebrate and show some support for the greatest pizza style in Canada, and maybe the world – Cornwall Pizza!” says Mr. Case. “The kind with the Cheese On Top!”
Where to Watch
Cheese on Top will premiere on June 25 at Cornwall’s DEV Hotel & Conference Centre. There will be Cornwall pizza, a cash bar, and a panel discussion with cast and crew.
