Cornwall Truck Maintenance Welcomes Mack Trucks
December 12, 2019Cornwall Ontario – The Mack brand has come full circle for the Paschek family.
Cornwall Truck Maintenance is now the authorized service agent for Mack Trucks in Cornwall, and the brand’s return means a lot to Stefan Paschek. His grandfather Gunther Paschek immigrated to Canada from Germany after WW2 with $17 to his name and no English language experience. He worked on Mack trucks as a mechanic during the construction of the Cabot Trail in 1957. Sixteen years later, Gunther acquired the Mack franchise as owner of Fairview Garage here in Cornwall. Eventually, the Mack Brand left Cornwall, temporarily, and then returned to Cornwall and was represented at another location for 24 years.
“When we received the news from Volvo HQ that we were chosen to represent Volvo’s sister brand in our area, it rekindled a lot of fond memories,” says Stefan. “Three generations of Pascheks have represented the Mack brand for our area over the years, and we are proud and excited to have both strong brands under one roof to serve our clients.”
Cornwall Truck Maintenance is a full service truck repair shop located on McConnell Avenue, directly south of Highway 401 interchange. The company operates a modern 17,200 sf building that features 13 service bays and one of the largest parts departments in the region.The company has 6 certified Master Technicians on staff.
This past year also saw an investment of over $100,000 in new service equipment and an increase in workforce from 18 to 24 employees.
In 2020, Cornwall Truck Maintenance will celebrate 30 years of doing business.
