Hours expanded at City Hall and Civic Complex
August 19, 2020Cornwall Ontario – City Hall and the Cornwall Civic Complex will open for longer times – with limited access – beginning Monday, August 24.
Both facilities will be open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekdays. Services available at the Civic Complex are limited to Planning, Building, and By-law. The Complex walking track, as well as the offices of Economic Development and Financial Services, remain closed to the public. Inside washrooms are also closed, but outdoor washrooms are available.
Tourism information (visitor guide, maps etc) is available for pickup at the Complex door during the above times, or at Marina 200 7 days a week.
Here is a complete list of open municipal facilities:
- Aquatic Centre: 6 a.m. to 12 p.m. weekdays
- Benson Centre: 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekdays (ice rentals only)
- City Hall: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekdays
- Civic Complex: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekdays
- Cornwall Transit: 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
- Landfill: 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. weekdays, 7:30 am to 12 p.m. Saturdays
- Municipal Works: 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekdays
These facilities remain closed to the public:
- Fire Stations #1 and #2
- Paramedic Services HQ
- Social and Housing Services
Safety measures are in place at all City facilities, including physical distancing markers on the floor. Residents must wear a mask unless they are exempt, and should sanitize their hands when entering and exiting a facility.
