Virtual Learning Sessions for Employers Looking to Hire Global Talent

Cornwall Ontario – Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) is offering a virtual learning series for employers starting February 22, 2023. The sessions are a great first step for employers who want information on attracting, hiring and retaining global talent.

IRCC Virtual Learning Series 2023

The goal of this 8-week series is to help employers learn more about Canada’s economic immigration programs. Each week will feature a new topic and provide employers with an opportunity to ask questions. Employers can choose to attend one or all of the sessions based on their interest and needs. These virtual information sessions are free and are held by an IRCC outreach officer.

Learn about the wide variety of resources for employers and how they can support you in hiring and retaining foreign talent. This session will discuss the role of outreach officers, settlement agencies, the International Mobility Workers Unit, the client contact centre and more.

Recruitment for global talent can seem overwhelming; however, this session will provide clarity on how you can begin your search. Topics to be discussed include IRCCs recruitment services such as Destination Canada Mobility Forum and Job Bank.

In this session, we will discuss how employers can hire global talent through the Temporary Foreign Worker Program. This session will walk you through the process involved in these applications including labour market impact assessments and employer obligations.
